Privacy Policy
Structured Works LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the blueprintRACE mobile application and the live crew tracking website at blueprintrace.com (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Our guiding principle is simple: your data is yours. We collect only what’s needed to deliver the App’s features, and we never sell your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address (for sign-in and account recovery)
- Display name (optional, used in community features)
- Authentication identifier from Apple Sign In or Email/Password
Health and Fitness Data
With your explicit permission via Apple HealthKit, we read and write:
- Workout sessions (running, walking, OCR races)
- Heart rate, distance, pace, cadence, calories, elevation
- Advanced metrics (running power, vertical oscillation, ground contact time, stride length)
- Workout routes (GPS coordinates collected during active workouts)
HealthKit data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud account. We do not transmit raw HealthKit data to any third party except as required for features you explicitly enable (e.g., Strava upload).
Location Data
With your permission, we collect precise GPS location for:
- Active runs: Tracking distance, pace, and route during workouts
- Live crew tracking: Sharing your real-time location with people you invite during a race (only when explicitly enabled by you)
- Obstacle/penalty marking: Recording where on the course you encountered each obstacle during OCR races
Location collection runs in the background only while a workout is active. You can stop it at any time by ending the workout.
Race & Training Data
- Race results, goals, and pre-race checklists you create
- Custom workouts and training plan progress
- Obstacle attempts, ratings, and notes (OCR features)
Diagnostic Data
- Crash logs and performance data (anonymous, used to fix bugs)
- App version and device model (included automatically when you submit feedback)
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not use third-party advertising or marketing trackers
- We do not collect your contacts, photos, or microphone audio (unless explicitly invoked by a feature you control)
- We do not perform device fingerprinting
2. How We Use Your Information
- Deliver core features: Save runs, calculate stats, sync with HealthKit, generate training plans
- Sync across your devices: Using your private Apple iCloud account
- Live tracking: Sharing your race progress with people you explicitly invite
- Authenticate you: Securing your account via Firebase Authentication or Apple Sign In
- Improve the App: Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns and crash logs
- Respond to feedback: When you email us, we use the information you provide to help
3. Data Storage and Security
Where Your Data Lives
- On your device: Core Data database, encrypted at rest by iOS
- In Apple iCloud (your private account): Workout history, race results, and CloudKit sync data
- In Firebase (Google Cloud): Authentication credentials only (never raw health or location data). See Firebase Privacy.
Security Measures
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all network requests
- iOS keychain for credential storage
- HealthKit data never leaves Apple’s secure framework
4. Third-Party Services
Strava (Optional)
If you connect Strava, we use the official Strava API to upload your runs. Your Strava credentials are stored only on your device. You can disconnect at any time in Settings. See Strava’s Privacy Policy.
Apple HealthKit, CloudKit, Sign in with Apple
These are first-party Apple services governed by Apple’s privacy policies. We follow Apple’s HealthKit guidelines and never share HealthKit data with third parties.
Firebase (Google)
Used for email/password authentication only. Subject to Google’s Firebase Privacy and Google Privacy Policy.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Access your data: All data is accessible within the App at any time
- Export your data: Settings → Export Data (GPX/TCX format)
- Delete your data: Settings → Clear All Data, or delete your account by emailing feedback@structuredworks.app
- Revoke permissions: iOS Settings → Privacy → adjust HealthKit, Location, etc.
- Disable iCloud sync: Settings app → [your name] → iCloud → blueprintRACE
- Disable live tracking: Stop sharing at any time from the active run screen
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
European Residents (GDPR)
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact us to exercise these rights.
6. Children’s Privacy
blueprintRACE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data until you delete your account. Workout and race data persist on your device and in your iCloud account until you delete them. Anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.
8. International Data Transfers
If you use the App outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries where Apple, Google, or our service providers operate.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
